audience, and the feeling in the Corn Exchange was that it did just that.
The Osmonds have been in showbusiness for over 50 years and professionalism was shown at its very best at Friday's gig. Merrill, Jay and Jimmy sang all the songs including 'Crazy Horses', which was an impressive start to the show, 'Let me In' and 'Love me for a Reason'. They also sang some great songs from their new CD 'Can't get there without you'. The atmosphere in the Corn Exchange was fantastic, the audience, made up of fans from across the UK, France, USA and Australia, were on their feet for most of the evening: it was a great celebration of an amazing family who epitomise showbusiness at its best.
They were supported by a superb band, The Dropouts, who also did their own set, a celebration of rock. Absent members of the family were not forgotten, Wayne was unable to join the shows due to ill health, and along with the rest of the family was included in film shown when Merrill Jay and Jimmy sang 'Remember Me' from the new CD.
The Osmonds performed with great enthusiasm and genuine warmth which was not lost on the appreciative audience. The house lilghts remained on at their request throughout most of the perfomance, as if they wished to savour every moment of the evening. The whole night was a wonderful celebration of their unique position in showbusiness.
